Yusa only won that doubles match because he realized Rika was watching haha. Seeing him all excited because he got a compliment (?) from Rika was funny. He’s usually kind of a dick, but she throws him one kinda sorta compliment and he’s like creaming his shorts in excitement lol. He was on fire training Ryo!

But anyways, the twins played pretty well considering. They won one game, so there’s that. I like that they didn’t get too discouraged and pushed for they rematch against the loudmouth and his “translator” lol. It really is a mind game as much as a physical one. Ryo needs to snap out of this funk, otherwise he’s toast. Just needs to find that intensity or at the very least his reason for playing.

All in all a good episode, that little moment with Ryo and his dad at the end was pretty heartwarming.

Well, remember, this is the same guy who, earlier this season, ALSO had to learn that you're supposed to hit shots that are difficult to return and return shots where they don't want you to hit them. The absolute basics of competitive play are completely foreign to him.

I'll admit, for a show about badmintion, it ain't the focus, and plus, given the badmintion sequences, it's obvious the studio OLM isn't putting as much money into this compared to Komi-san and Summertime Render. But it DOES make up for the characters.

Also, it might be mid, but not counting sequels, considering most of the anime this year honestly ain't that great save for a few, this is one of the better shows this year. Might not be SpyXFamily levels of a must watch, but I'll take this over most anime this season TBH.
